Agnostic in the tech industry holy wars
I am definitely an agnostic in the computer and tech industry holy wars. When I was younger I used to care about the direction that operating systems and applications were going. I cared about what technologies or standards were involved. I suppose the only "standards" battle I care about nowadays is open standards and net neutrality. Other than that, I care most about what computers, networks, technologies DO ... what they can DO for people ...

All these things are just tools which can hopefully make people's lives better. All the rest is just chaff and distractions.

Never do work for people who know more about your job than you do.
New workshop ideas
-- success (is slow, requires patience) vs. Failure (fast, requires decision-making)
-- results and consequences: the hammock
-- risk and reward
-- yes vs. no, the conditional yes vs. the conditional no
-- truth, openness, and honesty in decision-making: do you have the information you need? is it all valid or is it biased in some way?
-- how do you evaluate? metrics? conditions? planned pressure points?
