Greg Graffin from Bad Religion was on NPR Science Friday today, 10/15/2010 and was talking about three pillars of science and how they intersect with religion.
The three pillars are:
1) observation and discovery
2) experimentation
3) verification
Greg says that science and religion can find common ground in 1) and 2) but, by the conclusions drawn and the source or authority of verification, science and religion cannot agree on part 3).
